Profile

For the guy that rappels a cliff on Sunday, the
guy that
closes the big deal
on Monday or the guy that just gets stressed out one day – every man needs
to update his PROFILE.
Men’s personal services have been sky-rocketing as the latest revenue stream
for salons and spas, but salons and spas that take this niche seriously are the
one’s that are truly delivering the benefits to men that aren’t that
keen on walking into a co-ed spa and asking for a back wax in front of ten or
more women.
“Men’s wellness is the fastest growing area in the Health and
Beauty industry, but no company is attacking the market the right way,” says
McCallon. “We wanted to have a fresh, modern approach to the men’s
barbershop and leapfrog the competition with amenities and added services.
Profile is the one-stop shop for men’s wellness.”
That it is! With car detailing service, a golf putting green, big screen TV’s,
not to mention the lovely ladies, this spa is a guys haven! Bringing men into
the personal service sector is rewarding for not only men who have a great
place to not only spruce up, but relax and feel comfortable, but for the ladies
in their life as well. When asked what he looks forward to everyday, McCallon
has, of course, a great answer: “Educating men on how to properly take
care of themselves. Whether it is hair, skin or body, men are great students;
they are just happy to finally have a teacher!”
Many salons and spas have begun adding men’s services to their menu,
but PROFILE makes it their focus which allows them as a provider of high-quality
services to create added value that only a men’s only spa would be able
to aspire to. “Men want results and good service – they are less
concerned about price but are more difficult to schedule,” said McCallon. “You
must cater to a man’s schedule instead of forcing him to adapt to yours.”

background including his successful mother, Bonnie McCallon, who is co-owner
of PROFILE Men’s’ Salon and Spa. Bonnie has spent 32 years
in Finance working for a Fortune 500 company. Not a bad foundation to start
a business on!
As business savvy owners, the McCallon’s knew they needed to include
business management software from the beginning, but it had to fit the business. “We
love the ease-of-use and efficiency of Shortcuts,” said McCallon. “It
is so easy you can train a new user in a few hours with enough depth to keep
even the most demanding statistics manager busy for days.”
Recently awarded Top 5 Salon of the Year from Salon Today Magazine, this business
has it together, blazing the trail for more than just men, but for salons and
spas in general. “We are not conforming to the industry standard for
males – we are becoming it.
